Kiley Butler

Co-founder and CEO

Kiley’s background in live production started with music, playing bass and singing in bands before discovering a passion for the technical side of creating experiences. That performer perspective still influences the way he leads today, with a focus on productions that feel polished, intentional and effortless for the audience. Over the past 24 years, Kiley has helped lead events of every kind, from corporate presentations and conferences to nonprofit galas and large-scale live productions for clients including St. Jude, FedEx and the Liberty Bowl. He’s especially passionate about building long-term relationships and creating the kind of client trust that lasts far beyond a single event. Outside of work, Kiley enjoys spending time with his wife, Rachel, being on the water, traveling and staying active in his church.

Rachel helps guide the business side of ProductionOne, overseeing the financial and operational details that keep projects, teams and events running smoothly behind the scenes. With 20 years of experience, she plays an important role in supporting the company’s growth while helping create a strong foundation for the team and clients alike. Rachel especially enjoys watching ideas turn into fully realized experiences and seeing the amount of coordination and teamwork it takes to bring an event to life. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Kiley, and has a background as a trained Statement Analyst.

Chief Operating Officer

Mat helps lead the day-to-day operations of ProductionOne, keeping teams aligned, projects moving and productions running as smoothly as possible from start to finish. Over the past eight years, he has grown into a key leadership role, helping shape both the client experience and the way the team works together behind the scenes. He enjoys the fast pace and problem-solving that come with live events and takes pride in helping clients feel supported through every stage of a production. Mat believes the people are what make the company exceptional, both within the team and in the relationships built with clients over time. Away from work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Mary Claire, their two boys, Mateo and Micah, and a house full of animals. You might also find him running, traveling, working out with the men of F3 or spending time with his church community.

Ken DeLaughter

Ken DeLaughter, CTS

Director of Sales

Ken has spent more than two decades in live production, building a career around audio, events and creating seamless experiences for clients and audiences alike. He got his start in AV at age 12 when someone first let him push a fader and has since worked on everything from major concerts and nonprofit events to productions supporting presidential administrations since the 1990s. With a background as an audio engineer and producer, Ken is known for staying calm under pressure, solving problems quickly and helping clients feel confident no matter what’s happening behind the scenes. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie, and their three kids, serving at his church, working out, grilling and catching live music whenever he can.

Scottie Somerville

Live Events Operations Manager

Scottie brings a performer’s perspective to live events, with a background that spans touring, studio production and event management. Before joining ProductionOne full-time, he spent 12 years touring as a singer in a rock band while freelancing with the team between tours. Over the past 20 years, that experience has evolved into a career producing and managing live events of all kinds, including work with the Jackson Symphony Orchestra, Delta Hot Tamale Festival, St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend and events at Shelby Farms Park. Scottie loves the energy of live production and the chance to work alongside talented people while doing something he’s passionate about every day. Outside of work, he runs a home recording studio and sports card business and spends time with his fiancée, Jenna, and their pit bull, Draco.

DJ Thorton

DJ Thornton

Production Manager

DJ helps lead live productions by managing crews, coordinating equipment and supporting everything from video systems and playback to audio and lighting when needed. He got his start in seventh grade running audio for school concerts and plays and quickly developed a passion for the technical and creative side of live events. Since then, he has built expertise across all areas of production, working on large-scale projects including performances with the Jackson Symphony Orchestra, complex video wall builds for Memphis-Shelby County Schools and specialty installations for Germantown Baptist Church. DJ especially enjoys the challenge of designing systems that work together efficiently to create the best possible experience. In his free time, he enjoys gaming, keeping up with new technology and equipment, and watching TV series and anime with his wife.

Daniel Mathis

Logistics and Warehouse Manager

Daniel helps keep ProductionOne moving behind the scenes, managing the logistics, coordination and equipment that allow events to run smoothly from load-in to showtime. With a background in warehouse and logistics management, he brings a detail-oriented approach to making sure crews have what they need, where they need it and when they need it. Daniel especially enjoys the problem-solving side of the work and the satisfaction of seeing a production come together after hours of preparation and teamwork. In addition to his work in live events, he has spent more than two decades in the music and DJ world as a record collector, radio host and Memphis music historian. Daniel hosts a weekly show on WYXR and has worked with organizations like Stax Records and Hi Records to help preserve and share the history of Memphis soul music. He and his wife are passionate supporters of the local music community, and their daughter currently sings at the Stax Music Academy.
